Really funny movie

You may not have seen this classic. You may have only seen the later version. The original screen play for "The Shining," was a romantic comedy. It wasn't until later, when they director and editors looked back at some of the unusable outtakes, that they decided to re write the entire movie to be a horror flick. Once the producers got wind, they brought in Stanley Kubrick to finish the job.

But if you have never seen the original trailer, I found it online, and so here is the link...

While the adaptation of the scrren play was really scarey, one has to wonder what the world would've been like with just another romantic comedy.

Let me know what you think...

Some new news and new pics

So we have a really good dog. She is big and quiet. She doesn't freak out when we leave, and she is always happy to play with us, even if she is tired.

Sometimes, when she is done playing she will retire to her little sheet. This is just a plain sheet that she will carry around with her. She likes to bunch it all up, as you can see...

We took her to the vet cause she scratched her neck, and it was taking a long time to heal. We asked Terri, Gracie's best friend in the whole world, why she would bunch up the sheet and chew on it.

She said that she may have been weened to early when she was a pup, and so now it is a comforting sort of thing, like nursing. We now call it "sucking her thumb."

So whenever she gets tired of playing with us, she will go off and suck her thumb.

And now we have one last picture with some really big implications....

That's right that is our "bean" in the picture...

We're preggers!

Pizza Perfection!

So these are our finished products! (Sorry the quality os bad--it was my camera phone.) The proscuitto and asparagus (top left) ended up being both our favorites. Ryan says he has some perfecting to do on the steak one. This would be such a fun party food--everyone could make their own pizza!

Creative Pizza-Making!

Ryan and I are making fun pizzas tonight!! Our first one is a Caprese Pizza with tomatoe, mozzerella, and basil. The second one is asparagus, proscuitto, and mozzerella; and the third one that Ryan is finishing up in this picture is balsamic-marinated steak and onions with arugula and blue cheese. We're going to post another picture of the finished pizzas in 10 minutes when they're done. Yummy!!
