No news is good news

Not much new here, but it's been about a week since our last post. Our dog Gracie is such a good girl!! She's just so mellow and sweet--and so attached to Ryan! Every time he goes into the bathroom to shower, she waits outside the door, staring with her ears up until he's done. It's really cute. He's definitely her Alpha, not me at all.
So now that the big engagement in California is over, Ryan and I are planning our September event--Vegas, baby!! Ryan's mom and sis are coming to LA for a week toward the end of Septmber, then we're all going to go to Vegas together for two nights. This will be Chelsea's, Ryan's, and my first time, so we're super-excited!! Any suggestions on where to go or things to see? I'm sure Deb will be the best tour guide--hey all we need are some slot machines!
So we had no new pictures to post, so I went through and found some good ones. Esther asked me to do her makeup for her wedding--this is a picture of her when I did it the night after they got engaged. She's so pretty!

Better Pics of the Pooch

Ryan only posted a picture with her stupid muzzle on, so I wanted to show you guys cuter ones.

New Edition

No not the group...
This is the new addition to our family.
We are thinking of naming her Bentley, and renting her out for rap videos.

We'll write and tell you the whole story.

Some good times...

Here is a link to see Clark's engagement. I am narrating, mainly because it would have ruined the surprise to have mic'ed Esther...

It's a big file, about 5mb, so it will take a while...

Click here, and it should auto download... If not then right click and "save as..."

And next we have some family pics...
Just in case anybody didn't know, Esther not only was surprised by Clark showing up in Cali to propose, but when they got home from dinner that night, look who was here!!

Esther's brothers Stephen and Caleb and sister-in-law Elisa!!
We had such a great time having all the siblings together! They just left this morning. :(
Here's a pic of the Turner side, too!

The story

Would you like to know what happened?

I picked up Clark last night from the airport. We went and had burritos from a taco truck. The end...

Oh you mean... Would you like to hear about what happened TODAY...

Clark and I went to the Getty museum today. To see the sights you ask? No way, we got some serious "buisness."

Clark was so nervous that he was trying to tie his belt on his neck and his tie on his waist...

Don't worry we got the squared away...
So I was hiding behind some shubbery, and Clark crouched in a corner while we waited to ambush, I mean surprise Esther.

When she came down the path, Clark was able to surprise her using a unique disguise. You see, he had a map with a spy hole so he could see out,

but she couldn't see him...

At which point he surprised her, and got down on one knee and proposed... He gave her the ring before she could answer... You can tell here that Clark didn't know what she would say, but she knew...

It's okay she said yes!!

And she made Clark the happiest girl in the world!!

Don't they look great together?!?

Afterwards, we had to make sure to let Debi's friend at the book shop know what happened... Hi Marge!

So here we all are, soon to be one big happy family!!!...

Our soon-to-be brother-in-law, and other hyphenated phrases...

Ryan and I received some beautiful pictures of Ryan's sister's fiance Dan, while they were playing Pretty Pretty Pincess. We were just so moved by the depth and beauty of the photography, we had to share one with all of you, too!

Some info...

I am looking for some information on fasting. If anyone has some verses/how to's/what's involved/basically anything about them, could you please post them in the comments section?

I am trying to figure out what I need to do with my lfe when Court and I return to Atlanta. I was thinking about one of those 40 day fasts like Johnny did, but that sounds pretty tough, so I am trying to find out about it.

I oculd always just shave my head in a vow like Paul, although I might be mistaken for some neo nazi out here...

Happy Groundhogs Day! Oh right not the 2nd of Feb. Well anyways new months, new fun things to do. this will probably be the most important month in some lives... Like the life of some young abandoned dog we will adopt. I think it will be a lot of work, and a lot of extra time a dedication to own such an animal. However, I think it would be better to adopt a rescue animal over a "puppy mill" type dog.

It has been a long few days... we finally got our new dishwasher today, although that was a fiasco in and of itself. Our poor old landlords had to make a special trip out to our apartment so that the guys could install the new dishwasher. They called me and asked, "What time will you be off work," and I told them that Court and I were working until 7. Appearantly they forgot in their retirement that people work during the day...

Well Court is trying to watch Sophie's Choice and the typing is making it hard to hear so I am gonna sign off....
