Some more pics

This is a pic of a place affectionately called "the Casino." By whom and for what reason is still unknown...Scholars believe that it was named after the Earl of Casino, who actually invented the diving board. Crazy I know, but I read it on the internet.

This is a pic from our hike on our 1 year anniversary... it's some kind of succulent(sp?). Or so I am told. All I know is that thing is as big as my head, and it was growing out of some rock.

While on Catelina Island, I was told that I, "just had to have some ice cream!" That it was, "some of the best..." Well it was good, but i didn't enjoy it as much as this girl.

Last but not least...
I am hoping you have all seen a little show on Bravo called Being Bobby Brown. It is a testement to the age old adage,
"What Whitney sees in that guy... who knows." "What do you mean, she's as cracked out as he is!"
A wise, wise proverb no? Anyways, this last picture is probably one of the best of my photographic career and carries with it it's own message.

This is a warning to all old men that enjoy wearing speedos....

DON'T...

If anyone is interested, I have a shot of the backside as well.

Done Finally

Last week my in laws decided to come out for a visit. One of the best parts is that my wife somehow conned them into cleaning our apartment. I came home from work, and sure enough, my apartment was completely clean.

Well, Today we finished moving all the rest of our stuff out of our old apt. and into our new one. So here in lies my dilema...
"Who wants to come visit and put up the rest of these boxes?"

>crickets chirping<

I thought so...

New pics

Ok, so I finally was able to embed this program from Lazlo. It's a really sweet box that I can customize so that I can show you guys pictures from out here. It will be relatively easy to update. In fact I think I can add music, but that'll have to wait until tomorrow. I have been monkeying around with this xml file for quite some time, so I was super stoked to get it working, so much so that I woke Court up just to see it.

Also I have found a program that allows me to connect directly to another person to share pictures. It's like a cross between P2P and IM. It's called "Hello" and it was designed by Picasa. It's a free download at http://www.picasa.net. Everyone should get it so that we can each other pictures. Our picasa user name is "eireryan" so once you download it you can find us and add us.

p.s. I have horrible grammar skills, so I generally write long run on sentences, supposedly if you punctuate correctly you can go for a while with out stopping, so if you want to know who is writing, then check for a complete lack of punctuation(period)

A Visit From the Rents

So my (Courtney's) parents are leaving the great state of Calidfornia as we speak. Ryan and I had a really great time with them.
We went on an adventure to Catalina Island last Thursday and Friday--what a beautiful place!! It's this tiny little island that feels like it's in the middle of the Mediterranean or something, but really only 35 miles off the coast of LA. On Thursday night we went on this flying fish tour where we saw hundreds of these fish with wing-like fins gliding over the water. Some flew 20 feet in the air! Here's a link to the island's website: http://www.catalina.com
In other news...Ryan and I moved over to Santa Monica last week! It is so much better over here. And by better, I mean cooler. And by cooler, I mean temperature-wise. Evenings are always cool, and days on the beach are warm. I've always wanted to live close to the beach!
Well, I have to go to work at Jurlique (if you don't know, it's a spa and skincare line http://www.jurlique.com).

Long, long ago...

This is our first attempt at a blog. We'll have to see how this goes. We have been living here in LA for over a year now, and to be perfactly honest with you... "We can't wait to come home!"

Don't get me wrong LA is nice, the weather is great, we have made some great friends out here, lots of things to keep you busy. It is hard only seeing our families once every 6 months or so. It probably helped us with our first year of marriage though!

My sister will getting married soon (check out her wedding webpage at http://weddings.theknot.com/pwp/view/co_main.aspx?coupleid=3246409794609375), so we'll be going home in December for that. Plus next year we are thinking of movoing back home and maybe live in Athens, Ga again. I might even go for a masters of some kind. And Speaking of...

Georgia Bulldawg football will be starting soon... Although we aren't to sure about the incoming class of freshmen. Haven't heard much about them. Plus we lost a lot of seniors to the draft.
